Sunshine Solar Friends & Family Referral Programme — Terms & Conditions

The offer
Refer a friend or family member to Sunshine Solar Limited ("Sunshine Solar", "we"). If they go ahead and their solar installation is completed by us, we pay you NZ$500 per successful referral. There is no limit on the number of referrals you can make. The referred person does not receive a discount or other benefit under this programme.
Who can refer
- Anyone aged 18 or over with a NZ bank account. You do not need to be a Sunshine Solar customer.
- Employees and contractors of Sunshine Solar (and members of their household) are not eligible. Family members of staff who do not live with them may refer.
- You cannot refer yourself, or anyone living at your own address.
What counts as a successful referral
- The person you refer must not already be an active enquiry or quote with Sunshine Solar in the 30 days before your referral. If two people refer the same person, the first referral received counts.
- The reward becomes payable when the referred person's residential solar installation is completed by Sunshine Solar.
- A referral lapses if the referred person has not purchased within 6 months. You may re-refer after that.
Consent
You must have your friend's agreement before giving us their contact details. We will use their details only to contact them about solar for their property, in line with our privacy policy and the Privacy Act 2020.
Payment
- Rewards are paid by bank transfer to the NZ bank account you provide in the referral portal, normally within 14 days of the installation being completed.
- The $500 is inclusive of GST (if any).
- Rewards may be taxable income in your hands. You are responsible for your own tax affairs; Sunshine Solar does not provide tax advice. If you make frequent referrals we may ask you to complete an IR330C before paying further rewards.
General
- Referrals must be genuine. We may decline or reverse a reward where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, self-referral, or gaming of the programme.
- We may change or close the programme at any time. Changes never apply retroactively to referrals already submitted.
- Our decision on eligibility and disputes is final.
- This programme is a single-tier referral reward. There are no rewards for recruiting other referrers.
